In this video this mans home is completely powered by the power of the sun which is available to us all. DIY solar power for your home is actually fairly simple. You can follow the above link and find an ebook giving instructions on how to make your own solar power system for less than 0.00 worth of materials to get started. I have found it very useful information in solar power kits and highly recommend it.

lol.. yeah i know what you mean. Those shingle type solar panels are nice, but very expensive. A lot of homeowner associations won’t allow those clunky solar panels.

My house/yard would look industrial/commercial looking with all that equipment in/on it. I would hesitate to cover my attractive shingles with electric panels. My Subdivision would not approve the “hardware” look. The shingle type panels would probably be the only thing I could use.
    Just my .02 thanks!

Why arent we all driving them, hmm THE GODDAMN GOVERNMENT! The government has the full control over this. The Canadian government in Canada decided not to pass the electric car because there in not much in the way of money for them in it. I say fuck the government and goto war with your own country. Over throw the power of your government. If voting does not work then killing people in the government will!

While the Rav 4 could certainly drive an 800 hour trip, you could not do it nonstop, but would have to charge it up a few times on the way.
