I have always been very interested in nature and the Environment, for example I read “Silent Spring” by Rachel Carson when I was maybe 10 years old.
And I grew pumpkins in Mom’s flower beds.

Seriously, I feel that the future of the Earth is now in the balance. We humans have lived but a moment of the Earth’s history and yet we have collectively caused a lot of damage to the ecosystems already.
Technology has given us great power, but that power is largely used in destructive ways. Fortunately, there is now a growing awareness of these things; and with the new President it seems this awareness has finally reached all the way to the White House.
Let us hope it wasn’t too late.
